This week, in honor of the long President's Day weekend in the United States, the elves journey back to TV Land in order to cover the two Christmas (or are they merely set at Christmas?) episodes of HBO's critically-acclaimed, award-winning, hit comedy, Veep - starring Julia Louis Dreyfus and based on the British show, The Thick of It. Not since the original Grinch episode have the elves been this divided over how they feel, and Anthony, Thom, and Julia stake out their hills to die on when it comes to whether or not this show is worth anybody's time in general. Despite a feeling of all out war, the elves do have their very own Linus moment this week, which is good, because - Spoiler Alert - neither of the two episodes covered do!

Join the elves as they once again take a trip back to Victorian London to cover yet another adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic story, 2019's BBC/FX co-production, A Christmas Carol, starring Guy Pearce as Scrooge. What will Julia, Thom, and Anthony think of this unconventional, darker than usual take on a classic? Will there actually be some debate as to whether or not this is a Christmas movie? Happy 2020, Christmas Fanatics! Though we may be past the Christmas season and at the start of a New Year - a Leap Year, at that - we are as determined to keep the holiday spirit alive and well the entire time! As such, perhaps it's a blessing in disguise this episode was delayed a week because really, what better way is there to kick off a New Year than with a Christmas classic? This week, Thom, Julia, and Anthony discuss the 1946 film, It's a Wonderful Life! Once again, Anthony finds himself on the opposite side of the fence as Julia and Thom regarding the quality of this movie, Julia finds she may have more in common with him than she does Thom when it comes to deciding whether or not this is a Christmas film. The hosts also discuss how their holiday seasons went and resolutions for the show as it barrels toward its third year amongst many other things! So settle back with your favorite holiday-flavored drink from Starbucks before they go away again for the next eight months and enjoy!
